Nilkanth Stores

Our shop is located on 8th Main Bambooz Giddanna Choultry Road here in Surat. It's a bit of a long name for a street, but most locals just know it by the landmarks nearby. We have been running Nilkanth Stores for quite some time now. It is a typical local store where the shelves are usually packed tight. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes when a big delivery comes in, there are boxes everywhere for a few hours. Customers come in throughout the day, mostly people living in the neighborhood who need something quick. We know a lot of them by name because they have been coming here for years. The street can get pretty crowded, especially in the evenings when the traffic picks up. We don't have fancy lights or a big display window. It is just a plain door and our sign outside. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the old torch to find things for people. It’s just how things go around here. We spend most of our day talking to people and checking what needs to be ordered for next week. It’s not a flashy job, but it keeps us busy. We like the routine of opening up, sweeping the front, and seeing who walks in first. It is a good way to live and stay connected to the community.
