Shri Balaji Roadways Ltd

Shri Balaji Roadways operates out of Lamington Road, specifically in the Deladva area. If you know the area, you know it's always moving. We have trucks coming and going at all hours. It's a loud place, but that’s the nature of the business. We don't have a polished front office. Most of our time is spent on the phone or looking at schedules. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while. The office is just a couple of rooms with old desks and a lot of maps on the walls. We deal with a lot of different people every day. Drivers, loaders, and people just looking for a way to get their goods from one point to another. It gets dusty and the tea is usually too strong, but we stay busy. We don't have any big corporate goals written on the walls. We just want to make sure the loads get where they are supposed to go. Sometimes there are delays with the weather or the roads, and then the phones start ringing off the hook. That’s just part of the job. We know most of the other businesses on Lamington Road. It’s a tight community in a way. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the transport world, but we just keep doing things our way. It's not glamorous, but it’s real work that keeps us going every day. We just hope the traffic stays light enough for the next driver to get in.
