Shree Randal Kirana Store

Our shop is located in the Satyanarayan Society on L H Road in Surat. It is right near Murghakedra, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Being inside a society means Shree Randal Kirana Store mostly serves the families who live in the apartments nearby. At 462, we try to keep the shop organized with all the different types of rice, lentils, and cooking ingredients that people use daily. Hira Baug is a busy area, and the road outside always has some construction or heavy traffic going on. I spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure we have enough of the popular brands of oil and tea. The floor is tiled, so it is easy to sweep, but the dust from the main road still finds its way in. I usually have a helper who helps me move the heavy sacks of grain when the supply truck arrives. We have a small television in the corner to keep us occupied during the quiet afternoon hours when everyone is taking a nap. It is a simple kirana store, nothing special to look at, but we have what people need. My favorite part of the day is the evening when people come back from work and the shop gets busy with last-minute dinner shoppers. We just do our work and go home at night like everyone else in this part of Surat.
