At Shree Gayatri Medical And Provision Store, we do a bit of everything, which keeps us pretty busy from morning until late evening. We’re located on Waghodia Road, a place that’s always got something going on. Since we’re a provision store too, I’m often switching between grabbing a bottle of cough syrup and weighing out some pulses or handing over a bag of sugar. It’s a bit of a juggle, but it’s how we’ve always run things here. The shelves are a mix of medicine boxes and household goods, so you really have to know where every little thing is kept or you’ll spend all day searching. Waghodia Road has plenty of shops, but I think people like that they can get their prescriptions and their groceries in one stop at our place. I usually have a helper with me to deal with the provision side while I handle the medical stuff, but on slow days, I just do it all myself. The floor gets dirty pretty quick with people coming in and out, so someone’s always got a broom in hand. It isn't a quiet life, especially with the traffic noise outside, but it’s a good way to earn a living. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that; it’s just a working shop for the people living nearby who need their daily essentials without having to travel across town for them.
