Our office is room 1107 in the Icon building, which is right behind the Sai Temple in Piplod. It’s also just opposite the Central Mall, so it’s a very busy part of Surat. Being on the eleventh floor gives us a bit of a view, though we’re usually too busy to look out the window much. We’ve been in this space for some time now. It’s a modern enough building, but our office inside is pretty basic. We have our desks, our chairs, and a lot of files. We don't go in for big decorations or expensive furniture. Surat is a city of business, and we try to keep that practical mindset. We aren't here to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just get our work done. The area is always crowded with shoppers and people going to the temple, so there’s a lot of energy around. We like that. It keeps us feeling connected to the city. Most of our day is spent handling the foundation’s logistics and talking to people who come by. We don't have a big staff, so everyone does a bit of everything. It’s how we keep things running smoothly without too much fuss. If you’re near the mall, you’re just a short walk from where we are. It’s a simple operation, really, just people working in an office in Gujarat. We don't need much more than that to be happy.
