Sankalp Silk Mills Pvt Ltd is located in Umarwada, specifically in the New Tungarli Hills area. We are right across from the Mahila Bank. It’s a decent spot for a mill. We work with silk and other fabrics here. The machines can be quite loud when they’re all running at once, so it’s not exactly a quiet office environment. We have rolls of cloth everywhere. Sometimes the colors are so bright they really stand out against the grey walls of the building. It’s a lot of work to keep everything organized. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill out there. We just focus on making the fabric and getting it out the door. The road outside can be a bit rough, especially when it rains, but we manage. We don’t use any corporate talk or have big meetings about goals. We just look at what needs to be done each morning and we do it. People who need silk know where to find us. Being near the bank helps because people use that as a reference point. It’s a practical business. We’ve had our ups and downs like anyone else, but we just keep the machines going. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We make sure the silk is right and the orders are ready to go.
