Our office is Office No-A/80 on the ground floor of the India Textile Market. Being on the Ring Road means it is always noisy and there’s constantly some truck or rickshaw moving outside. It’s the heart of the textile area in Surat, so the energy is quite high most of the time. We handle marketing, but not the kind you see on television with big budgets and actors. We mostly help connect sellers and buyers within this market. Our space is small and often filled with fabric samples and stacks of yellowing invoices. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we have a system that works for us. You won't find anyone here wearing a suit and tie unless there is a very specific reason to dress up. We wear comfortable clothes because we’re on our feet a lot and the heat can be intense. The market is a total maze, so people often get lost trying to find us the first time they visit. We just tell them to look for the big blue door near the side entrance and give us a call if they get stuck. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners. We share news and sometimes help each other out with small things. It’s a tough business, very competitive, but we enjoy the daily hustle. We just show up and do the work.
