Our workshop is situated at Plot No. 96 within the Surat Industrial Society. We are right near the Kiran Motor Workshop on Bamroli Road. It’s a heavy-duty kind of area, lots of metal being moved around and the constant sound of welding or grinding is pretty much the soundtrack to our working day. We do engineering work, which mostly means our hands are usually dirty and there’s some grease on our clothes by the time we go home at night. The office part of the building is just a small room with a couple of old desks and a computer that’s seen better days. We have a lot of tools and heavy equipment scattered around the shop floor, though we try to keep it somewhat organized so we can find what we need. It gets really hot in the summer months under the corrugated metal roof, so we have a few big industrial fans going all the time to keep us cool. Our crew is small, mostly just a few guys who have been doing this kind of work for a long time. We don’t bother with fancy brochures or having a big sales team. Most people find us because they saw our sign on Bamroli Road or a friend told them we could fix their parts. It’s a lot of hard, physical work and sometimes we stay late to finish a specific job. We just focus on the engineering and getting the work done.
