Our place is at 24, Jyoti Nagar Society, right near the SMC Library in the Palanpur Patiya area of Surat. Being on Rander Road means there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside, but we are used to it by now. Purvesh Fisheries Private Limited has been operating out of this spot in Navyug Colony for a while. It isn't a big corporate setup; it's more like a local office where we manage the daily catch and keep track of where the fish are going. Working in the fisheries business means early mornings and a lot of physical labor. You won't find us in suits or sitting in air-conditioned rooms all day. We are usually out making sure things are fresh and the orders are filled correctly. The smell of the sea follows us home sometimes, but that is just the nature of the trade. We’ve lived in Gujarat all our lives and this business is how we stay connected to the community. People know us around here. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales pitch. We just sell fish and try to be fair about it. Every day brings a new challenge depending on what the boats bring in. It's a simple life, and we are quite content with the way things are going right now in our little corner of Surat.
