Mr.Egg

Surat is always moving, especially around Udhna Main Road. Our place, Mr.Egg, is tucked into Jivan Ganga Nagar at Shop No. 9A, 5 and 6. If you know where Dhruv Motors is, we are right near there. It’s a loud area with plenty of cars and bikes going past all day long. We deal with eggs mostly, and there’s always a lot of cracking and sizzling happening in the back. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have some basic tables and chairs, and the walls have seen better days, but it serves the purpose. We get a mix of people coming in—some workers from the local garages and families who live in the apartments around here. The humidity in Surat can be a lot, especially when the stoves are going, so we keep the fans running high. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. Most people just see the sign while they are stuck in traffic or walking to the bus stop. We start our day by checking the crates that come in and making sure everything is set for the lunch rush. It gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. It’s just a simple job for us, making sure folks get something to eat before they move on with their day. We like the noise of the street. We don't really have a big staff, so we all do a bit of everything. It’s a busy life but we are used to it.
