Mumma'S Lap Foundation

We've been over here at Yamuna Darshan Society for a while now. Most people around Mota Varachha know us by the ground floor spot at D-138. It's a busy part of Surat, but we like it here. We started Mumma'S Lap Foundation because we saw a lot of things that needed doing in the neighborhood. It isn't a huge operation or anything fancy. Just a few of us working out of this small office. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when people stop by, but that is just how it goes when you’re trying to help out. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with everyday problems takes up most of our time. You can usually find someone here during the day, unless we are out on a project. We don't have a big staff with suits or fancy titles. Just regular folks from the area who care about what happens on our streets. The traffic around Mota Varachha can be a mess, but we manage to get around. We’ve lived in Surat all our lives and this foundation is just our way of staying involved with the locals. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. We'd rather just get the work done. If you're walking past Yamuna Darshan, you’ll see our door. It's nothing special to look at, but it's where we get things sorted. We hope to stay here for a long time. There is always something new coming up that needs attention. We just take it day by day and see who needs a hand. It’s hard work, but we like it.
