Mulpuri Educationalmedical Foundation

Out here in Surat, near the Adarshnagar Society, you'll find us at the Mulpuri Educationalmedical Foundation. We’re in Soumil Apartment, on the first floor, flat A-2. It’s a busy neighborhood in Athwalines, and finding parking can be a real headache some days. We’ve been in this office for a while now. The name is a bit of a mouthful, but we basically look at education and medical needs for folks around here. It's not a hospital or a school, just the office where we manage the foundation's bits and pieces. There’s always a pile of mail to go through and people calling about help with school fees or doctor bills. We try our best to keep up, but it’s just a small team. Some days we are running around Surat trying to meet people, and other days we are just stuck at our desks. The office gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan that works okay. We aren't a big fancy NGO with lots of funding. We just use what we have to get things done. It feels good to be working in our own city. Surat has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that. We’re just regular people trying to handle the paperwork for these important things. We spend a lot of time just talking to people who walk in off the street or call us with questions.
