Mukesh Mali

Mukesh Mali is found over in Udhna on the Laheripura New Road. We are sitting right opposite the old school building, which is a landmark everyone in this neighborhood knows. Udhna is a busy, hardworking part of the city, and our location on the new road means we see a lot of activity throughout the day. The sound of school bells and kids playing used to be louder, but the old school has its own quiet character now. We aren't a corporate giant with a glass building and polished floors. Our place is simple, maybe even a little bit dusty because of all the traffic outside, but it’s where we feel at home. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even need a map to find our way around the back alleys. Mukesh and the rest of us just focus on what needs to be done each day. We don’t have fancy mission statements or anything like that. If someone needs help or has a question, they just walk in and ask. Sometimes we have a cup of tea and talk about the weather or how the road has changed since they paved it. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't try to be anything other than what we are—a small business in a busy part of Udhna, trying to keep things moving along without any unnecessary drama or complicated processes. We stay late most nights to make sure everything is ready for the morning.
