You can find us at the Yogeshwar Complex in Palanpur, specifically on the first floor at unit number 7. It’s a pretty standard commercial building and we’ve been here long enough to know all the quirks of the place, like which light switches don't work quite right and how the afternoon sun hits the windows. Mechici Engg Projects Pvt Ltd is really just a group of us working on different technical designs and project plans. The office is full of computers and large monitors because that is what we need for the engineering work. There are usually rolls of paper tucked into every available corner and a lot of pens that have run out of ink left on the desks. It isn’t a very formal place. Most of us just wear comfortable clothes and get on with the drawings. We spend a lot of time on the phone or staring at calculations. The first floor is handy because we can pop out to the local tea stall without having to deal with the lift. Palanpur is growing and there is always something happening outside, but we mostly stay focused on what’s on our screens. It’s a basic, functional office where the main goal is just to get the project work done accurately and stay on top of our deadlines without making a big deal about it.
