Matoshree Super Store

We run this shop in Jai Jalaram Nagar Society, right on Kharsava Road in Dindoli. It’s actually two units combined, shops 124 and 125, so we have a bit more room for the shelves and the fridge. Most of our day is spent unpacking boxes and putting things away. It gets dusty pretty fast with the road right there and all the traffic passing by, so someone is always wiping down the counters. We see the same faces every morning when the milk comes in and every evening when people are getting stuff for dinner. We know which kids like which snacks and who always forgets to bring their own shopping bag. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and lifting heavy crates of drinks or sacks of grain. The lights inside are a bit bright, but it helps us see what we're doing when we're counting change. We don't have a big staff, just the family and maybe a helper. We handle the billing, the cleaning, and the ordering from the wholesalers. Sometimes the deliveries are late, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow for what they need. That's just part of running a small store. We try to keep the aisles clear, but things tend to pile up near the back. It’s a busy little spot, especially on weekends when everyone is off work and doing their shopping. We don't do anything special, just keep the shelves full and the door open for everyone. It’s a simple way to make a living in Dindoli.
