Maruti Kirana Shop

Maruti Kirana Shop is situated on Varachha Road in Surat. Specifically we are in the Hira Panna building area near Mini Bazar and Sadar Chowk. This is a very lively part of the city with lots of traders and shoppers walking around all the time. I started this shop because I wanted to be in a place where things are always moving. We carry all the usual kirana items like different types of dal, rice, and spices. The shop is often packed with boxes because we don't have a separate storage room. You have to watch your step when you come inside. I have a couple of guys who help me with the heavy bags. The traffic on Varachha Road is something else, it never seems to stop. I usually have my tea while watching the crowds outside. It is a good business but it takes a lot of energy to keep everything organized. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just come in and ask for what they need. I try to keep enough stock so nobody goes away empty handed. Most of my customers are regulars from the Hira Baug area. We talk about the local news while I pack their items. It feels good to be part of the community here. The shop is nothing special to look at but it gets the job done.
