Krishna Kunj Boutique

You can find us at Krishna Kunj Boutique, which is located inside the Thirroul Compound. We are in Bunglow No 5, right across the road from the Reliance Petrol Pump on Bhatar Road. It is a bit of a different setup for a boutique, being inside a bungalow, but it gives us plenty of room to move around. We have rolls of fabric and half-finished pieces of clothing scattered about most of the time. The staff here consists of local women who really know their way around a sewing machine. We do not have those bright, harsh lights you see in the big mall shops. It has a much more homey feel here. Sometimes the traffic on Bhatar Road gets a bit loud, but once you walk into the compound, things quiet down a lot. We spend our days cutting fabric, sewing seams, and chatting with the people who come in looking for something new. We do not really do any big advertising or marketing. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood who have known us for years. We are just a group of people who like the process of making things. The tea kettle is usually on in the back, and there is almost always someone coming in for a quick chat while they look through the latest fabrics. We do not have a fancy website. We just show people what we have and let the work speak for itself.
