Sankalp Designer Studio

You can find Sankalp Designer Studio at C-198/199 on the Ring Road. We took over this space a while back because it had enough room for our tables and the racks we needed. Even though the name sounds a bit fancy, we are just a small group of people working with fabric and designs. The Ring Road is a hectic place to be, but it makes it easy for deliveries to find us. Inside, we have tried to organize things as best as we can, but when we are busy, things tend to get scattered. There are sketches on the walls and pieces of cloth draped over the chairs. We don't have a professional cleaning crew, so we just sweep up ourselves at the end of the day. It’s not a polished environment, but it’s where we feel comfortable. We spend a lot of time debating over colors and how a certain piece should hang. It’s mostly just us trying to get the details right. Sometimes we lose track of time and stay way past dark. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule; we just work until the job is done. The neighbors at C-197 and C-200 are friendly and we often see them out on the sidewalk. We like being part of this busy stretch of road. It’s a practical place to work and we have everything we need right here in these two units. It works for us.
