Kirni Krupa Mithae

Kirni Krupa Mithae is a small sweet shop situated at Mahidharpura 33rd Cross, 10th Main Road, 4th Block 5/921. We have been around this corner of Mahidharpura for years. It’s a cozy little spot where we sell various types of traditional Indian sweets. Most days, I am busy arranging the milk-based sweets in the display case. We also make some fried snacks that people like to buy for their tea time. The shop isn't very large, so it can feel a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. The glass on the display case often gets smudged by kids leaning against it, so I am constantly wiping it down with a cloth. We have a small staff, mostly family and a couple of helpers who have been with us forever. We start early in the morning, getting the milk boiled and the sugar ready. It’s a lot of manual work, stirring the pots for hours until everything is just right. We don't use any fancy machines here. Most of the recipes are things we just know by heart now. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, with more traffic and new buildings, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. People know they can come here for a simple peda or some barfi. Word of mouth from the neighbors is how most people find us.
