Jay Ranchod Stores is located over in Upendra Nagar, which is near the Parle Point area. It is a good spot because a lot of people live nearby. I have been working here for quite some time now. The shop is not very large, but we pack a lot of items into the shelves. It is one of those places where you have to know exactly where things are, or you will never find them. I usually spend my morning getting the new stock inside and making sure everything looks okay. Parle Point is a nice part of town, and Upendra Nagar has a friendly feel to it. We get the same families coming in week after week. It is nice to see the same people and see how they are doing. Sometimes the kids come in for a small treat after school. We keep the doors open all day long. The street outside is not too loud, which is nice for us. We do not have any big advertisements or flashy lights. Just the name Jay Ranchod Stores on the front. I handle most of the stuff myself, from the cleaning to the sales. It can be a long day, but it is steady work. Sometimes we run out of bread or milk early, and I have to explain that to the customers. We just do our best to have what people in Upendra Nagar are looking for. It is a simple shop for a simple neighborhood. We are just happy to be here doing our work every day.
