Our spot in Surat is at 50/ Shiv Om Nagar, right off Tadwadi on Rander Road. It’s a busy part of the city, and there’s always the smell of street food or the sound of rickshaws going by. Ibm India Pvt. Ltd. is the company, but here it’s just our small team. The office is in a building that’s seen a few years, but it’s sturdy. We’ve got the usual setup with desks shoved close together because we needed to fit everyone in. There isn't much in the way of decoration, just a few calendars and some old manuals on the shelves. Rander Road is great for food, so lunch is always the highlight of the day. We usually rotate who goes out to get the snacks. The monsoon season is a bit of a challenge because the road can get some water logging, but we manage to get in anyway. We don't spend much time on long speeches or planning meetings; we just look at what needs to be fixed and get to it. It’s a practical environment. The air conditioner works most of the time, and when it doesn't, we just open the windows and deal with the noise. It’s just how we do things here in Surat, staying busy and keeping the work moving along. We like the neighborhood feel and the people around us are friendly.
