Honest Iron & Engineering Works

Honest Iron & Engineering Works is located on the Surat - Bardoli Road, right across from the G.I.D.C. We don’t have a big fancy building, just a workshop where we do all our metal work. If you need to send us mail, it goes to Post Box No. 56. The road outside is always busy with traffic going between Surat and Bardoli, so there’s a lot of noise and dust. We spend our days working with iron, cutting it, and welding pieces together. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty pretty fast. The shop floor is filled with scrap metal and heavy tools that have seen better days. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby for people to wait in. Usually, you’ll just find us in the back with the torches. The weather gets really hot out here in the Surat district, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the workshop roof. We just drink plenty of water and keep the work moving. It’s a simple life. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, just a local shop that knows how to handle iron. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half the morning fixing them ourselves. That’s just part of the job. We show up, do what needs doing, and close up when the light fades. It's just honest daily work for us out on the road.
