Happy Engineering

If you head down to Udhna and look for the 22nd Cross in the 3rd Block, you’ll find Happy Engineering at K 26. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there’s always a lot of clanging and humming from the shops nearby. Our floor is concrete and there’s usually a bit of grease or dust somewhere no matter how much we sweep it up. We have some heavy work tables and tools scattered around because that’s just how we work. It isn't the kind of place where you’d find fancy carpets or glass walls. We just have our workstations and a small area where we keep the records. The air smells a bit like metal and oil, which is pretty much the standard for this part of town. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just sit on the stools and wait for it to come back on. The guys here have been working together for a long time, so we don't really need to say much to get things done. We just know the routine. We open up early when the sun is still low to beat the heat of the day. There’s a small tea stall at the corner of the block where we go when we need a break from the noise. It’s a straightforward setup and we don't really do things any other way. We stay busy with the local projects and just keep our heads down while working through the list.
