Global Computer Education

Global Computer Education is located right at units 9 and 10 in the Satyam Apptopp building. We’re just a short walk from Dholakiya Garden in the Katarga area. It’s a busy neighborhood and we’ve been here for a good while. Inside our space, you’ll mostly find rows of older desks and several computer monitors that hum throughout the day. The walls are a plain off-white color, and we have a couple of ceiling fans that struggle to keep the place cool during the peak of summer. We spend a lot of time just making sure the keyboards are clean and the software is running like it should. In the afternoons, you can hear the kids playing over in the garden, and sometimes the smell of street food drifts in through the windows. It’s not a polished corporate office. The floor tiles are a bit chipped near the entrance, and the chairs don’t all match each other. We use unit 9 mostly for the main computer setups and unit 10 for some storage and a small area where we can sit and have a break. Katarga has changed a lot since we started, but Satyam Apptopp stays pretty much the same. We have some power strips taped to the legs of the tables to keep the wires from getting tangled everywhere. It is a simple place where we just focus on the screens and the lessons. We’re usually here until late evening when the garden lights come on and people head home.
