Essar Engg Services Ltd. is based at number 28 in Samarth Park, right near the L&T Colony in New Magdalla. If you’re coming through Surat, you’ll know it’s a pretty industrial area. The heat here can be something else, especially in the afternoons. Our building is just a regular house that we’ve turned into our workspace. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which we actually prefer. We spend our days going through engineering plans and managing our local projects from here. Being near the L&T area means there’s always something going on nearby. You can hear the trucks and the general hum of industry if you stand outside. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the fans and us arguing over where the stapler went. We’ve been in this part of Surat for a good while now. The neighbors know us, and we know the guys at the local tea stall. It’s a simple life, honestly. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. You just walk in and we're usually there at the table. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, so we’re always cleaning the desks. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s where we do our best work. We just focus on the engineering side of things and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad. It is just a normal, hardworking office for people who want to get things done without the extra noise.
