Elfee Help Foundation

We are set up in Udhna, at the Sahyog Apartment, room F.101. It’s a part of Harinagar-1, which is a pretty lively spot in Surat. The Elfee Help Foundation has been running out of this ground floor space for a while. It’s a basic setup. We have some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of passion for what we do. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. If people know about us, it's usually because they walked past the sign or heard about us from a neighbor. We spend a lot of our time just helping out where we can. Sometimes that means paperwork for government schemes, and other times it's just listening to people’s problems. It gets pretty loud outside with the local traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it. We aren't some big city charity with a lot of money. We’re just a local group. Our budget is tight, so we have to be careful with how we spend every rupee. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of hours here, even on weekends sometimes. It’s not always easy, and we definitely make mistakes now and then. But we are trying. This is our neighborhood, and we want to see it do well. That’s why we’re here. We hope to stay here for many more years as long as we can keep the rent paid and the lights on.
