Working from City Light Road has its ups and downs. It’s a well-known area, so people usually find the place without too much trouble. The office is pretty basic. I’ve got a desk, a couple of chairs, and some filing cabinets that have been with me since I started. I don't see the point in buying new furniture just for the sake of it. The window looks out onto the street, so I can see the traffic passing by. It’s mostly cars and the occasional rickshaw. I usually arrive in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. There’s a small clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly when it’s quiet. I spend a lot of time reading through documents and making notes. It’s just a one-person operation for the most part, though sometimes someone comes in to help with the filing. I don't have a big sign outside, just a small plate with my name on it. People who know me know where to find me. The neighborhood is okay, plenty of places to get a quick snack or a tea. Sometimes I step out for a walk just to clear my head. The carpet is a bit worn near the door, and the light flickers if I turn on too many things at once. It’s a quiet life, mostly focused on the tasks at hand and making sure nothing gets missed. I keep a few spare pens in a drawer because they always seem to go missing.
