Bear Book

Bear Book is located on the third floor of the Silverstone Arcade in shop number 323. You have to come all the way up the stairs to find us. Since we are on Causeway Road, there are always plenty of people and traffic around the building. Our shop is packed with books, as the name suggests. There are stacks of them on the floor because the shelves were filled up long ago. It might look like a bit of a mess, but we generally know where everything is. Students often stop by looking for specific textbooks, and others just want a good story to read. The view from the third floor is actually quite nice, overlooking the busy traffic on Causeway Road. We have a small wooden counter where we wrap up purchases. Our air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief in the heat. Silverstone Arcade has many different types of shops, but we are one of the quieter ones tucked away on the top floor. We spend a lot of time dusting the book covers and making lists for new stock. It’s just us running the place, without any big staff. We don't use the computer for every single thing and often just write prices on small slips of paper. It is a cozy spot for anyone who likes books. We usually stay open until the arcade starts to shut down for the night and the street lights come on.
