Baba Pan & Cold Drinks

If you are driving along the Pune Nasik Highway near Adajan Dn, you might see us at number 6. We go by Baba Pan & Cold Drinks. It is a small shop but we stay busy because of all the trucks and cars passing through. The highway is always humming with noise and dust. We mostly sell different kinds of pan and keep the fridge full of cold sodas and water. On a hot day the cold drinks sell fast. We spend most of our time standing behind the counter talking to drivers who stop for a quick break. Some of them have been driving for hours and just want something to wake them up. We don't have fancy chairs or a big lounge. It is just a counter and some shelves. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and we stay open until late at night. The dust from the road gets on everything so we are always wiping down the glass. We have been at this spot for a long time now. People know they can get a quick pan and be back on the road in a few minutes. We don't do anything special, just keep the stock ready for whoever stops. It is a simple life running a shop on the highway but it keeps us busy enough. We like seeing the different people who come from all over the country.
