Arihant Trader Co

Arihant Trader Co is situated in the Pawarvasti area of Khatodara. We are more of a trading spot than a fancy retail store. Most of our space is taken up by large sacks of grain, pulses, and sugar. It’s a very practical environment. The floor is concrete and there are stacks of pallets everywhere. We deal with both individual customers and sometimes smaller shops that need to restock their supplies. It can get quite loud with the noise of the street and people shouting to be heard over the traffic. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff on the walls, just a few calendars and maybe a clock that’s a few minutes fast. The smell of raw spices and jute bags is always in the air. We spend a lot of time weighing things out on the big scales. It’s dusty work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. My brother handles the phone calls while I manage the loading and unloading of the trucks. Sometimes we have to move everything around just to find one specific bag that a customer wants. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been in Khatodara for years and the people here know they can find us open most days. We don’t really have a big staff, just the two of us working hard from early morning. It’s a straightforward business with no frills or extras.
