Our place, Apple Infotech, is tucked away in Bombay Market at D/1427. If you know the market, you know it can be a bit overwhelming with all the stalls and people moving about. We’ve been at this unit for a while, and it’s filled mostly with computer parts, tools, and half-finished repair jobs. It’s a small space, so we have to use every inch of the walls for storage. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights; we are a repair and tech shop. People bring us their broken gear because they know we’ve seen it all before. We spend a lot of time peering through magnifying glasses at tiny circuits or trying to salvage data from a crashed drive. The air in the market is always thick with the smell of street food and engine exhaust, but inside the shop, it’s mostly just the smell of solder and old plastic. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who understand how these machines work. Sometimes the parts we need take a few days to arrive from the supplier, so we have rows of laptops tagged with names waiting on the shelves. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or polished counters. We just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the task at hand. The door at D/1427 is usually propped open to get a bit of a breeze. It’s a humble spot but it’s where we do our best work.
