S. M. Impex

S. M. Impex is located at No. 26 Laxmi Nagar Soc. It's more of a residential society setup where we have our space. It’s quieter than the big industrial estates, which is nice. We are in house number 26. We handle our import and export business from here. It's a simple arrangement. We have a few rooms set up for the office work and some storage. The neighbors are mostly families or other small home-based businesses. Laxmi Nagar is a decent area. It's not too far from the main road, so getting things in and out isn't too difficult. We spend our days mostly on the computer or on calls. Sometimes we have to go out to meet vendors or check on cargo. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making things happen. It’s a very personal way of working. We know the people around here. There's a little garden in the society where we sometimes sit for a minute. It’s a humble place. We don't use any big marketing tricks. We just tell people where we are and what we do. It’s honest and direct. S. M. Impex is just a small local business. We keep our files in order and make sure the invoices are sent on time. It is a quiet life but we are mostly satisfied with how things are going. We have been in this society for years and we know the delivery boys and the mailman by name. It makes the workday feel a bit more like being at home. We usually finish up and lock the doors by the time the streetlights come on.
