Aarti Ayurvedic

Our little spot for Aarti Ayurvedic is over on Adajan Road, right across from the Sardar Bridge. If you know the Guru Ram Pavan Bhumi area, then you know exactly where we are located. It’s a busy part of Adajan, especially in the mornings when everyone is crossing the bridge to get over to work. The shop itself is small and very simple. We have Ayurvedic items stored everywhere. Sometimes the air smells like sandalwood, and other times it smells like bitter roots or dried leaves. It’s just me and a couple of others here most of the time. The floor is made of tile and it’s a bit old, but it’s easy enough to clean. We have a small fan in the corner that makes a clicking noise, but it keeps the air moving. Outside, the street noise never really stops. You hear the bikes and the occasional bus rumbling past. We keep the doors open usually to catch a breeze, though it brings in some dust from the road. I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass jars. People drop in while they are out doing their regular shopping nearby. It’s not a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a local shop where we keep things honest and practical. I usually bring my lunch from home and eat in the back corner. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot doing what we do.
