You can find Aalok Medical & Provision Stores at B 311 in the Gujarat Housing Board area of Pandesara. We are right opposite the water tank, which is a big landmark around here. Since we are in the housing board, a lot of our customers are our neighbors. We sell medicines but also keep provision items because people always need milk or snacks or soap. It’s a mix of a pharmacy and a general store. The shop is usually a bit cluttered because we try to have everything someone might ask for. Dealing with the housing board residents means we see a lot of kids and elderly people. We know who needs what every month. Sometimes the supply trucks have trouble finding the block, but they eventually get here. It’s a decent sized space but feels small because of all the boxes. We spend a lot of time organizing the racks. My cousin helps out during the holidays. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth works well enough in Pandesara. People know if they need a quick bandage or some fever medicine, they can just walk over. The water tank across the street makes it hard to miss us. We keep things simple and just focus on making sure the stock is there when someone needs it. It's a busy life, but we like being part of the neighborhood. The 394221 area is home to us and we plan to stay here.
