A N General Stores

The shop is right here in Nurani Residency on the 3rd Main Road along Rander Road. We spend most of our mornings just unboxing crates and making sure the packets of milk are cold enough for the morning rush. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic outside, so there is always someone with a cloth wiping down the front counter. A N General Stores has been in this spot for a while now. Most people around here know us because they stop by when they run out of salt or need a quick refill of cooking oil. It isn't a huge place, just a regular corner shop. We try to keep things where people can find them, but sometimes things get shuffled around when new stock comes in on Tuesdays. The lights inside are a bit bright, but they help us see the small print on the labels. We have a small stool behind the counter that we share. On rainy days, the floor gets a bit muddy from everyone coming in off Rander Road, so we keep a mop handy near the door. It’s mostly just us handling the registers and making sure the bread is fresh. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the congestion on the main road, which is annoying. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just shelves filled with what people need for their kitchens and homes. We keep the doors open usually to let some air in.
