Ess Pee Engineers & Consultants is based in Rourkela, specifically in Sector-22. Our office is at UH-16, Plot No.281, in the Utkal Nagar area. It’s a quiet residential and commercial mix around here, which makes it a nice place to work without too much distraction. We’ve been operating in Orissa for quite some time now. The building is a standard plot, and we use a few rooms for our engineering and consulting work. There are usually blueprints or maps spread out on the big table in the middle of the room. We don't have a receptionist, so one of us just gets the door when someone knocks. The weather in Rourkela can get really hot, so we rely on the ceiling fans to keep things moving. Most of our day is spent on calculations or talking to contractors on site. We aren't into fancy presentations; we just provide the technical details people need for their projects. Sometimes we travel out to different sectors to check on progress. The neighborhood is mostly families and other small offices, so it’s pretty peaceful in the evenings. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day. It’s a practical way to run a business. We don't spend much on advertising because we prefer to let the work speak for itself. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay accurate with our figures.
