Sarswati Shishu Mandir Inter College

Our college is located in Lambhua, within the Sultanpur district. It is a familiar landmark for the people living around this part of the town. The building has been standing for quite a while and it has that old-school feel to it. We have several classrooms for the inter college students who come here for their higher studies. It is a very busy place in the mornings when everyone arrives from the nearby villages. You can see a lot of bicycles parked in the area near the entrance. We do not have many modern gadgets, just the usual blackboards, chalk, and paper textbooks. The teachers are local people who understand the background and the needs of our students. We focus on the curriculum that is set by the state board. The courtyard gets very hot in the middle of summer, so we try to keep the students inside the rooms where it is shaded and cooler. We have a small office for the principal where all the records and files are kept in big metal cupboards. It is a very traditional setup for a college. We do not spend money on fancy marketing or big glowing signs. The name is just painted on the front wall so people know where they are. During the rainy season, the ground can get a bit soft.
