Rani Mahendra Kumari Sardar Ballabh Bhai Inter College is a big name for a school here in Sultanpur. We are located right by Deara Bazar. Because we are near the market, there is always something going on outside the gates. You hear the vendors and the tractors passing by throughout the day. The college has been here for a while and the building shows its age in some places. We have many students coming in from the nearby villages and the Deara area. It is an Inter College, so we have the older boys and girls finishing up their schooling. The hallways are usually crowded during the breaks. We have a lot of heavy wooden furniture and the walls have seen many coats of paint over the years. The office is always busy with people coming in to ask about admissions or certificates. We don't use any fancy systems, just the old ledgers and registers to keep track of everyone. The staff works hard to keep the schedule moving. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the building and it gets quite warm. We have a small area for cycles and bikes near the entrance. It is just a regular place of learning for the local community where the main goal is to get the students through their exams and ready for whatever comes next. The atmosphere is busy but predictable and we like it that way.
