Shine Salon

I’ve been running Shine Salon here in Thuraiyur for a while now. We are right across from the O N Mahal, just opposite the Aringnar Anna Bus Stand. It gets pretty busy around here with all the buses coming and going throughout the day. You can hear the engines and the people shouting for their stops while we work inside. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where people from Trichy come to get their hair sorted out. We opened up in this spot because it's easy for anyone traveling through the bus stand to find us. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in, so we are always cleaning the mirrors and sweeping the floor. There are a few chairs and some old magazines on the table for when there is a wait. Most of our regulars live nearby in the 621010 area and stop by on their way home from work. It’s a simple setup. We have the usual fans running to keep the heat down during those hot Trichy afternoons. People talk about their day or the local news while they sit in the chair. It’s just how things go here. We don't do anything too complicated, just the standard cuts and shaves that people need. Being right on this main stretch means there is always something to look at out the window. It’s a good spot to be in, right in the middle of everything happening in Thuraiyur.
