Our place is on East Street in S.Aduthurai, which is part of Kunnam T.K in Perambalur. It’s a bit different from the big city offices you might imagine when you think of software. Botree Software International Ltd operates from this quieter area. It’s a bit more peaceful here, though the heat can be something else in the afternoons. We have our computers set up and we spend most of our time staring at screens. The street outside is usually quiet, with the occasional tractor or bike going by. We aren’t a huge operation with hundreds of people; we are a smaller group that knows each other well. We don't have a cafeteria or anything, so we usually just bring our own food or get something from the local shops nearby. Working in Perambalur means we don't have to deal with the crazy traffic of Chennai, which is a nice change. We just focus on the code and the projects we have in front of us. It’s a simple life. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when the sun goes down to catch a breeze. We don’t use any corporate jargon or have big meetings about goals. We just look at what needs to be fixed or built and we do it. It’s a straightforward way to work and it keeps things calm. Our office isn't much to look at, but it gets the job done for us every single day. We just try to keep things running as smoothly as possible for our clients.
