Shah Apple Traders is based out of House No-74 in Dashipura. We’re right near Sai High School, so we hear the kids playing and the bells ringing all through the day. It’s a lively neighborhood to work in. We’ve been dealing in apples for a long time. It’s a family thing, really. We don’t have a big cold storage warehouse or a fleet of trucks. It’s just our house and the space we use to manage the fruit. When the season is right, we’re very busy. Boxes everywhere, people coming and going to check the quality. We look at every batch. If an apple isn't good, it doesn't go out. It’s that simple. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people find us because they know the Shah family or they’ve seen us working near the school. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with crates piled up, but that’s the fruit business for you. We just want to make sure people get what they pay for. We’ve lived in Dashipura for years, so we care about what our neighbors think of us. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to sell good apples and keep the business running for the next generation. It’s hard work, but we like it. The house is usually full of the smell of fresh fruit in the morning, which makes the early starts better.
