Oggy Fashion Private Limited

Our spot is on the 3rd floor of the Masjid Complex right at the Main Chowk in Nawabazar. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs every morning, especially when we are carrying bags of clothes. Oggy Fashion Private Limited is what the papers say, but we are just a small group of people working in Srinagar. The view from the window looks out over the chowk, which is always crowded and loud with people shouting and cars honking. We have a 400KVA transformer nearby that hums all day. The rooms are a bit cramped because we have so much fabric lying around. Sometimes the light isn't great, so we have to move closer to the windows to see the stitching properly. It’s an old building, and the hallways are narrow. We drink a lot of tea while we work. In the winter, it gets really cold up here on the third floor, so we all wear our heavy pherans. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our time is spent just sorting through orders and making sure things are packed. It’s a busy life here in 190002. We know the neighbors in the complex well, and we often share news from the market. It’s just a normal workplace with a lot of noise and a lot of work to do every single day. We don't use big words to describe it, it is just what we do to get by.
