Haji Shawl Industries

Haji Shawl Industries is over in Shivpora at 2nd Ram Munshi Bagh. We have been in this same spot for a long time now. The building is nothing special, just a place where we do our work every day. We mostly deal with shawls and traditional fabrics that people around here use. It gets quite cold in this part of the world, so there is always a need for something warm. My family has been involved in this for generations, so it’s just what we do. We don’t have a fancy office or a marketing team. It’s just us and the looms. Sometimes the shop is a bit messy with threads and cloth everywhere, but we know where everything is kept. The neighbors know us well, and we see the same people walking by every morning. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We just make the shawls and sell them to whoever needs them. The work is slow and takes a lot of patience. You can’t rush handwork like this or it just doesn't come out right. We use the same methods that were taught to us years ago. Shivpora is a quiet enough place, and being near the Bagh is nice when the weather is good. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the orders that come in. There’s no big secret to it, just showing up and doing the work.
