Kashmir Kessar Mart

We are located in Munawarabad, specifically at Noor-Ud-Din Azad's place. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road but people find us. Most of the work involves sorting through what comes in. The mart is small, and we have shelves everywhere. It smells like earth and dried goods in here. Sometimes the lighting isn't great, so we keep the door open to let the sun in. It’s just us here, making sure everything is packed correctly. We don't use fancy machines for the packing. Most of it is done by hand sitting on the floor. It takes longer that way, but we prefer to see what we are putting into the boxes. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. Just family members taking turns to mind the shop. When it rains, the street gets a bit muddy, so we have to put down old sacks for people to wipe their feet. Business is steady, not too fast, not too slow. We know most of the people who come through the door. They ask about the family and we ask about theirs. It is a quiet way to live. We just want to keep things going as they are without too much fuss. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way. We don't need to be the biggest, just consistent with the items we put out for people to buy.
