You can find us at number 14 in Gousia Colony, over in N.B. Pampore. It is a quiet part of Pulwama compared to the busier towns, and we like it that way. Being here in Pampore makes sense for Kashmir Kesar Exports because this is where the action is for what we do. The air is cold most of the year and we spend a lot of time wrapped in wool while we work through the piles of stock. Our setup isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a sturdy building where we sort things out and get them ready for the long trip ahead. We spend hours making sure everything is weighed correctly. It’s tedious work, but someone has to do it. The colony is mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise when the trucks are loading up late at night. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common around here, so we keep some lanterns and candles handy just in case we need to finish a batch of packing in the dark. We’ve been at this for a long time now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, really. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff. We just focus on the harvest and getting it out the door.
