Gulam Hussan Manufacturers

Out here in Rainawari, things move a bit slower than in the main city parts. Gulam Hussan Manufacturers is located right in Jogilanker. We have been working in this same space for a long time. The walls are thick and it stays cool in the summer but gets really cold when winter hits. We have a few heaters scattered around, but they don't do much against the chill. There is always the sound of tools being used and people calling out to each other over the noise. We make a lot of different things here, mostly using our hands and some old machines that we have to kick to start sometimes. The floor is covered in scraps of material and sawdust. We don't really have a showroom or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we are doing, they just walk into the workshop and find us. We usually have a pot of tea going on the small stove in the corner. It is a quiet neighborhood, mostly just other people working or families living nearby. We start early in the morning when the light is best and finish up when it gets too dark to see the details of what we are making. It is hard work and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. That is just how it goes for us in Jogilanker.
