Gee Arr Spices

We have been here on Maharaj Ganj Road for quite a while now. Being so close to the J&K Bank makes it easy for folks to find us when they are out running errands in Sr Gunj. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a place where we keep our spices and handle things day to day. Usually, the morning starts with opening up the shutters and getting the stock organized. It gets busy on this road, especially in the afternoons when everyone is moving about. We try to keep things simple here. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that is just part of being in this part of town. Most of the people who stop by are regulars who live nearby or work in the area. We know a lot of them by name. It is a noisy spot, but we like the energy of the market. Dealing with spices means there is always a strong smell in the air, which we don't even notice anymore, though visitors usually do. There are no big signs or bright lights, just our door and the shelves inside. We do our own packing and weighing right here on the counter. It is a small operation, mostly just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. We don't spend much time on paperwork unless we have to. It's just about getting through the day's work and seeing who walks through the door next to buy a little bit of this or that.
