Cote Computers

Cote Computers is based in the Mir Complex over in Khanyar, Srinagar. If you know the area, you know it’s a bit of a local landmark. We’ve got a shop that is usually full of computer parts, tangled cables, and old screens. It’s often a bit of a mess because there’s always something being taken apart or repaired on the benches. I’ve been working with computers for a long time, and I finally decided to open this place here because I like the neighborhood. It’s not a shiny showroom like you see in the malls. It’s a real workshop. People bring in their laptops when they break, or when they just need a new part installed. We spend most of our day hunched over desks with screwdrivers and small parts. It’s quiet work, for the most part. We get some nice sunlight through the front window in the afternoon, which makes the shop feel a bit warmer. Sometimes customers stay and chat for a long time while we fix their machines. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. We don't even have a big sign outside, just a simple one so people know where we are located. Khanyar is a busy place, and there’s always something going on in the street outside. We just stay inside and focus on fixing the electronics.
