Caring Corner Pre School

Caring Corner Pre School is tucked away in the Ram Bagh area, near the Main Chowk in Mehjoor Nagar. It’s a small place specifically for the younger children before they go off to the bigger schools. We have rooms filled with colorful mats, low tables, and lots of plastic toys that always end up scattered on the floor by noon. The building is an old house that we converted, so it has a bit of a homey feel, though it’s definitely showing its age in some spots. We spend our mornings helping kids with their shoes and making sure they eat their lunch. It’s often very loud with crying or laughing, depending on the day. The teachers are mostly local women who have a lot of patience. Srinagar winters mean we have to stay inside a lot, so we try to keep the kids occupied with drawing and singing. We don't have a big fancy playground, just a small outdoor area that we use when the weather is nice. Parents drop their kids off on their way to work, so the mornings are always a bit of a rush at the gate. It’s just a simple, local preschool where we look after the little ones while their parents are busy. There isn't much more to it than that. We just focus on keeping them safe and happy until their parents come back at the end of the day.
