Ganpati Computers

Being located right at the Main Bus Stand in Bhadra means we never really have a quiet moment. If you walk behind the new bus stand, you will find Ganpati Computers tucked away. It is easy to find us if you follow the sound of the buses idling and the conductors shouting out destinations. We have been in this spot for a while now, and the shop is usually filled with the smell of diesel and tea. It is a small space, mostly taken up by boxes of old components and a few benches where we sit to work. We started this place because we liked messing around with hardware. Nowadays, we spend the morning opening up laptops and the afternoons trying to explain to people why they should not spill water on their keyboards. Bhadra is a busy town, and we get people from all the surrounding villages stopping by when they get off the bus. They bring in their CPUs wrapped in towels or just carry their laptops under their arms. We do not have a fancy waiting area, so people usually just lean against the door or stand outside while we check their machines. It gets a bit hot in the summer, and the power goes off more than we would like, but we just keep at it. We are not doing anything revolutionary, just helping folks get their stuff working so they can get back on the next bus home.
